The Wave worship experience at Central Presbyterian Church is a place where everyone is welcome.  It is a community that is warm, relaxed, and family-friendly.  WAVE stands for Authentic Worship Experience and renewed sense of Vitality through faith.  WAVE combines a fresh perspective on scripture with a meaningful message relevant to today's life.  The Praise Band has a unique blend of contemporary Christian music that adds artistry and inspiration,  WAVE also encourages connection and sharing to build a greater understanding of how faith can touch our lives.

Rev. Don Steele, the senior pastor at Central, has served churches in New York and Pennsylvania prior to moving to New Jersey. In his last congregation, he led efforts that resulted in the creation of a new worship community for those who were looking for new ways to connect questions of faith to their everyday living, including many who had not been part of a traditional church for years.




Adam Gilbert, Central’s Coordinator of Youth and Contemporary Worship, recording artist, vocal/piano coach and a songwriter/producer. Prior to being at Central he was the music director at Vernon United Methodist Church for 9 years. 




Rev. Deborah Huggins serves as Associate Pastor of Youth and Christian Education at Central. Deborah holds a Masters Degree in Special Education, and is currently completing her doctoral work.  She also serves as the disabilities consultant on the new Presbyterian Curriculum for children, Growing in Grace and Gratitude.




Rev. Noelle Kirchner is Central's Parish Associate and host of the cable television show "Chaos to Calm with Noelle Kirchner." Noelle also writes a popular faith and parenting blog ( and has published online at the Huffington Post, the TODAY Show Parenting Team, Mamapedia, and
